Where are great places in New York City to meet new people?

I'm in my mid-twenties and live in Manhattan, New York City.

  1. Ah, the eternal question. Funny how in such a huge city it can be so hard to meet people your own age.

What you can do: volunteer somewhere; other people your age will probably be volunteering there as well. Ask any friends you have to introduce you to their friends. Make friends at work. Be friendly to your neighbors. Sometimes you can meet people at bars (rarely clubs.)
