What is the cheapest way to travel from california to new york?
we'll be coming from vallejo, going to new york city...:) we'll be traveling from vallejo, going to new york city...is it cheaper to travel by train? or by plane? thanks...
Well, other than walking (like others suggested, which would be really expensive, because of the time spent, and the lodging and food you'd need on the way), the cheapest way would be the plane (around $300). The train is about $200 but it takes 3 and a half days, so you'd tend to buy things, like food, drink, souvenirs... etc
Greyhound Bus would be cheaper than train or plane. You can get an auto-driveaway car where you transport someone's car for them and all you have to pay is the gas or part of it.
You can also share a ride from the East Bay to New York on Craigslist.
