Punishing Matt by not going home for awhile. Needed him earlier. Got attitude instead. Steak dinner for me. None for him. Serves'm right.
ReplyDeleteNick + Stef's Steakhouse near MSG - went there for office Christmas lunch, excellent food without breaking the bank.
ReplyDeleteTad's Steakhouse (multiple locations around NYC) is certainly inexpensive, it's a chain of cafeteria-like steak houses. Haven't been to one in years, so I don't know what the quality is like now.
City Search just recommended Pee Dee Steakhouse, 3rd Ave at 110th St. They rated it with 4 stars out of five, and its price is listed with only 2 dollar signs out of 5, meaning it's a great value.
*flicks my eyes down the length of the table at you, then tosses my beard over my shoulder and serves myself a steak*
ReplyDeletehad dinner with friends at BLT Steak. Let's just say it was OK to mediocre at best.
ReplyDeleteSmith & Wollensky - 201 E. 49th. Street, NY, NY
ReplyDeletei just might. last unusual tartare was at Komi and it was quite good - skirt steak laced with mustard cream.
ReplyDeleteketo'e glepung thok nduk, opo yo ono isine kuwi? Re: steak 6rb.

ReplyDeleteApart from steak, all food and restaurants sucked big time in jacksonhole but we still had lots of fun. (via loic)
ReplyDeleteLunch at my aunt's house : steak +lasagna + sop buntut.. Dessert: puding with sop buah! Oh my!! Heaven hahahaha
ReplyDeleteWhy did my little brother drop a good piece of steak on the floor? And my dad's first remark was, "We should have youtube-ed that lol..."
ReplyDeleteHere's the problem - a good steak in a steak house will be pricey, but go for lunch rather than dinner. Lunch prices usually are less.
ReplyDeleteTry Bobby Vans on Park Avenue and East 46 Street, or Cafe Joul on First Ave near East 59 Street for great steak frites.
There is Gallaghers Steak House on the west side as well.
In 42nd street, its a restaurant that serves fantastic food with everything. Its a very famous place with T-bone steak and etc.
ReplyDeleteOf the things Santa brought is a new comforter for my daughters bed, it's fancy smancy should I leave it by the tree or steak it on her bed?
ReplyDeleteThey know all they have to do is whisper "I bought a little something from Victoria Secret" and their steak just got KegSized.
ReplyDeleteLes Halles serves good steaks; the hanger steak is about $20 and the sirloin is under $30. The food here is pretty good, the service is not.

The Post House has excellent steaks - they are very expensive. If you are willing to have lunch instead of dinner, you can get a small filet mignon, a salad and a glass of wine for $25. The food's good, service is excellent, but this isn't a "fun" place - it's on the stuffy side.
Porter House in the TimeWarner Building serves a three course lunch (hanger steak with fries), salad and dessert for $25.00. Pretty place, nice view of Central Park if you sit near the window; service isn't great.
