What's the job market like in New York City?

For those of you who were unfortunate enough to get laid-off from your jobs recently, has it become any easier to find a new job lately? I have an administrative job that I thinking about leaving from in the next couple of months but not if I won't be able to find something new. Thanks in advance.

  4. The last survey done by the NY Daily News showed that there are 6.7 applicants for every job in the NYC region.

Unless you have a new job waiting, stick with what you already have.
