How is the restaurant 21 in New York City?

My friends and I have reservations for a Saturday night in December. Is this a good choice?

  1. I have been there a few times and I really like it. They have a nice selection on their menu. You can get anything from a hamburger to a reg. meal. Just a warning that it is "expensive"...

  2. Hey Now...

Its a traditional, old money kind of place...

Also it is a very expensive place, expect to pay about

    $70 per person...

It was a Speakeasy in the 20's,

many people dont know that you can ask for a tour of the

"old hidden wine celler" in the basement...

    Tie & Jacket are Required!!!

When you ask for reservations ask about the tour...

Its real cool how they hid the door..

    Smiles

  3. If you like to be in Touristy places, then this is the place for you. Why don't you post another question and post what type of cuisine you are looking for. This is probably be much more helpful.

  4. 21 is a very "old school" NYC restaurant. It was a speakeasy back in the prohibition era!

The food is very good, and they have both a la carte and prix fixe menus to choose from. Their "21 Burger" is very popular.

They might have a special holiday menu when you go, at the least they will have a seasonal menu.

    The wine list is incredible!

  8. I got a text from Sapna saying, "Meet me at Bay City Bombay." I went over to the restaurant. Sapna was waiting for me inside, by the doors.
